I am a digital and graphic designer with 8 years agency experience.
I am currently working as a UI/UX designer for an order fulfilment platform based in Lancashire
I started work at Fulfilmentcrowd Ltd in February 2022
As a UI/UX designer at Fulfilmentcrowd, I focus primarily on enhancing and refining the client-facing subsection of our platform. Collaborating closely with product managers, I contribute to the development of updates while also analyzing user data and site metrics to optimize the user experience, ensuring a seamless and intuitive interface.
I also worked to develop an in-house figma component library to enable rapid wireframing of new designs while maintaining consistency throughout
I joined the fitness startup Jonple Ltd in early 2021 as a UI designer
As the lead designer at Jonple my primary focus is on the app itself, creating wireframes and designs to improve usebility and ensuring new features mesh with the existing product seemlessly
I also work closely with both the videography and marketing teams to produce promotional and marketing material
Since October 2018 I have been working with Silverchip Ltd as a graphic and digital designer
Primarily an in-house role, my responsiblities included the sitemapping, wireframing and design of new sites and applications, as well as design updates for existing clients
I also worked on several exhibitions during my time at Silverchip, including Digital City Expo in 2020 and Prolific North in 2019, producing both print artwork for the stands and digital assets for the games and applications built for both.
I worked as a designer and front-end developer at DiCE Creative from 2015 to 2018 .
As the main designer at DiCE I was involved in every stage of a website’s construction - from meeting with clients to discuss their requirements and working with other members of the team to develop a content strategy, before taking my early scribbles to finished wireframes, and then through to pixel-perfect mockups that I and the other developers can work and build from.
While I don’t consider myself a fully fledged web developer, I do enjoy it, and during my time at DiCE I have used and have developed a good understanding of HTML and CSS, as well as version control through GitTower and HTML markup for content management systems.
Although a digital agency, I have also had the opportunity to work on a number of print briefs such as product labels and business cards.
After finishing my internship in Birmingham I worked as an artworker for Signbuild Ltd in Preston until I moved to Cheltenham in January.
While there, I was responsible for creating and amending artwork for use in the housing industry. I also used and maintained the printers and vinyl cutters, and assisted the technicians in applying the finished vinyls.
For several months I worked as a design intern for Birmingham-based gaming company WEWANA Ltd.
My role involved working alongside the other designers as well as programmers to develop an iPhone app for the company, whilst building and maintaining the Wordpress website and blog.
